Step 1 Free Solar Consultation

We will conduct a free site visit to your home to assess available space for solar and analyze your energy usage. We will use this information to create a customized solar proposal.

Step 2 Proposal and Financing

We will propose a solar system based on energy usage and available space to maximize the value of solar. In the proposal, we will determine the cost of the system, how the system will be paid for, and the return on investment.

Step 3 System Design and Permits

As a turn-key solar service provider, Bayou Solar takes care of everything for you. We use North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioner (NABCEP) certified designers for your solar system design. All system designs comply with the National Electric Code and abide by local rules and regulations. Upon review, modification, and approval of your system design, all construction permits will be obtained and the Solar equipment will be delivered, and one of our Energy Project Managers will be assigned to your project.

Step 4 System Installation

Upon arrival of the solar panels and parts, our professional crew will begin installing your solar system. Our crews arrive each day and work in a respectful and courteous manner. They will leave the site clean each evening.
A typical installation will take 1-3 days depending on size and complexity.

Residential solar power systems are typically roof mounted. The solar power panels are mounted on a racking system which is attached to the roof; however we can build customer structures when needed to maximize your solar installation.

Step 5 Warranty/Rebates System Monitoring

Upon completion of your solar system, you will receive a “Warranty Package” that consists of system drawings, warranty information, self-maintenance instructions, product specifications, and instructions on how to inspect your solar system for optimal energy generation. You will have a 10 year labor and service warranty and a 25 year production guarantee on Solar PV. Also a “CPA Package” to assist you in receiving your rebates.

You’re never alone. Bayou Solar will be available 24/7 to support your system’s ongoing operation, address post installation concerns, and help analyze your system’s performance throughout the warranty period. By request, you may add an optional indoor monitoring system that allows you to see exactly how much power your system is generating in real-time, including how much power it has produced over the past week, month, or year, without having to walk outside and look at your inverter/meter.

Louisiana Net Metering

Our Net Metering Law allows solar PV system owners to bank excess electricity back to the utility company at retail rates, for a credit to owners’ accounts. When a solar system generates more electricity than is consumed by the home, such as a sunny afternoon, the extra electricity is sent back the utility grid, and the utility company credits the system.

Financing

Bayou Solar offers several residential and commercial financing options. Contact Bayou Solar to learn more about our exclusive 0 down, NO INTEREST, NO PAYMENT Solar Finance options.

Solar Power Homes Appraise Higher

A Louisiana residential solar power system will increase your home’s property value immediately! According to the Appraisal Institute, for every $1 reduction in annual electric bills due to the installation of a residential solar power system, your home’s value will increase by about $20.

Solar Power Homes Are More Marketable and Sell Faster

A residential solar powered home is easier to market and sells faster. According to the LA Times, there is a bright spot in the current slow residential real estate market: Residential Solar powered homes are outselling homes with traditional electrical systems across Louisiana. Developers recognize the marketability of Louisiana residential solar powered homes and are increasingly including Solar technology in new home design. When it comes time to sell, you will have your significantly reduced or zero cost electric bills to show potential buyers. Homes with a residential solar power system have significant sales leverage over homes with traditional electrical systems for sale in your area because buyers love the idea of having lower monthly bills!
